Design Lead — 2019

Facebook Integrity

I spent two years at Facebook supporting the Community Integrity team as a design lead, building protection and support experiences across Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.

Our team’s work focussed predominantly on enforcement and protection experiences, helping to tackle integrity challenges stemming from nudity, to self harm, child safety, suicide, and terror organisations.

I led the team through the design and execution of several flagship integrity products across the platform, and collaborated closely with external stakeholders (Government bodies, Non-profits, and NGO's) to inform the direction and focus of our efforts.

Caus Studio

I founded Caus Studio after becoming disenchanted by tech and design – years of building products that felt like they contributed very little to the world left me wanting something more meaningful, something with a cause (see what we did there?).

Caus started as a tiny design studio in the heart of London – we introduced ourselves as "Product people with a purpose", and that purpose was designing products that valued mental health.

The business had two core arms – working with doctors and professionals to build products for the mental health space, and collaborating with every-day products to make their products more mental health friendly.

I could tell a million stories, and share a million more lessons; Caus was simultaneously the hardest, and most rewarding challenge of my career – to this day, some of the most meaningful work I've ever done.
